The Kansas Cross Country and Track & Field Coaches Association announced the 2010 Academic All-State Cross-Country Team. A student/athlete is eligible for this honor if they meet the following criteria: Must must be a junior or senior. Must have a unweighted GPA of 3.75 or higher. Must have placed in the top 30 at this year's state cross country meet. Must have been nominated by their high school coach by November 12, 2010.
See who the top 200 returning Kansas Boys & Girls are based on their average time from last year (from results that are in our database). This gives you a different look at how everyone stacks up than just seeing the fastest time from each athlete, which can be skewed by super speedways like Southern Stampede and Buhler.
MileSplit Online Meet registration is quickly gaining popularity across the country. Want to know why? Because we provide a convenient way for coaches to enter right from the MileSplit calendar and save meet directors HOURS of time, and money (which is always nice).

Kearsten Peoples threw just one inch short of 50 feet in the Shot Put at the Ottawa Invitational to establish a new Kansas State record, and the #1 throw in the nation so far for 2010. In the boys Javelin, Johannes Swanepoel opened up his season with a 208'2" throw which makes him #1 in the U.S. by nearly 10 feet.
Very strong winds at the Winfield Inviational eliminated any chances of super-fast times in the distance races, and the sprints (which were run into a head-wind), but it didn't stop the throwers from kicking off the season with big marks.
