Kearsten Peoples threw just one inch short of 50 feet in the Shot Put at the Ottawa Invitational to establish a new Kansas State record, and the #1 throw in the nation so far for 2010.
In the boys Javelin, Johannes Swanepoel opened up his season with a 208'2" throw which makes him #1 in the U.S. by nearly 10 feet.
Jamillah Bonner also made her name known by joining the 40 foot club in the Triple Jump at the North East Track Classic, where she jumped 40'3" and currently sits #4 in the nation.
Erica Brand is quickly getting back to business. She threw 149'7.5" in the Discus at the Shawnee Mission South Relays, which ranks her #4 in the U.S.
Ivan Hartung opened up his season with a throw of 190'8" in the Javelin at the Topeka Mid-Winter Relays which ranks him 5th in the nation.
