I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the 2010 Central Plains League Championships. The stands were packed, fans lined the fence all the way down the home straight (plus much of the 1st curve), and they rose to their feet at the finish of pretty much every race. These guys know how to enjoy and support a League Track Championship!
Morgan Burns of Wichita Trinity Academy put on a show, winning the 100m (10.61), 200m (21.90), and 400m (48.80).
Tina Liu of Independent won the 100m (12.04), Long Jump (15-11.5), and Triple Jump (37-4.5).
Haley Twietmeyer won the Discus (114-7.25), and Javelin (141-2), and placed 3rd in the Shot Put.
Seth Altstrom won the boys 1600 (4:38.82), 3200 (10:43.13), and placed 2nd in the 800.
John Ciale (Chaparal), won the Shot Put (48-0) and Discus (150-5), and was 3rd in the Javelin (171-5)
