ICYHH: Aria Pearce, Is Fast, Breaks 60m Indoor Record

How fast is Rock Creek middle schooler Aria Pearce? She now holds the 60m and 200m state indoor records. And if you haven't heard of this budding star then probably because non of the Kansas high school meets will allow her to compete. 

So her father who also doubles as her coach resorts to entering her in college open events to give her the competition she needs to continue progressing.

Last summer Aria won the Emerging Elite 100m and 200m at the 2022 Outdoor Nationals. This winter she has already qualified for the Nike Indoor National Championships in the 60m, 200m, and long jump. She is also entered in the Chicago MVP Vibe Fest meet.




Last weekend at the Nebraska Graduate Classic, Aria set the state record in the 200m, finishing 2nd with a time of 24.46. In the high school girl's division that would rank her 29th. in the middle school division, she correctly is the top-ranked 60m and 200m sprinter in the country.

This weekend Aria competed at the Washburn Rust Buster meet where she lowered her 200m state record to 24.45 and set a new state record in the 60m with a time of 7.48, which would rank her 15th in the country in the high school girls division.
