20 Kansas Athletes to Look Out for this Outdoor Season!

1. Alexandra Hart, Rolla JR

First up on our list is a strong junior out of Rolla HS. It can be difficult competing with such a small-sized school (KSHSAA class 1A) in the far-out Southwestern corner of Kansas, but Alexandra Hart has already proven that she doesn't let that get in her way; Even if she doesn't see most of her true competition until championship meets each year.

The junior stands at the top of our state returning High Jump rankings going into the season, hitting a mark of 5-9 in the event at her home invitational last season. She's not just good at the high jump, however. Hart is a strong versatile athlete, having won 6 state medals already going into this year. She has narrowly missed a state title in the high jump both years, having to settle for second place. She is also a two time state medalist in the 100M hurdles and the triple jump, as well as making a state appearance in the long jump her freshman year.

Expect for her to make her annual appearance at Wichita this May, and don't you be surprised if she walks away with a few state titles.
