#4-Ranked Ethan Marshall of St. Thomas Aquinas won in a sprint battle for the Eastern Kansas League title against fellow 5A competitor, #6-Ranked Jack Moore of St. James Academy. The pair would later vie for the class 5A state title, where Marshall would come out on top with Moore finishing in third.
