Shawnee Mission West senior, Alli Cash, had one of the best track seasons for a Kansas distance runner in history. She started her cross country season on Monday at the Greg Wilson Classic, and she did not disappoint. The defending state champ set a PR, running under 14 minutes to finish in a time of 13:46.70. She won by a complete two minutes over the next finisher, McKenzie Iverson of Shawnee Mission Northwest. Also in the field was the defending Missouri Class 3 Champion, Olivia Franklin, who finished sixth. By comparison, last year the meet was won by two time All-American, Samantha Nightingale, in a time of 14:53.60. Cash helped her team finish third with 90 points. They were defeated by behind St. Thomas Aquinas (35) and Kearney (75), defending Class 3 champs.
