Andales, Jeff Ast finished 2nd at the state meet as a freshman and with his sites set on a state title as sophomore he actually dropped to third. Well that may have been motivation enough because the Andale junior is coming out swinging this year in his first meet of the season Jeff threw the javelin 226'2" good enough to rank him number 4 all time in Kansas and number 1 in the Nation.
