Friday night in Cheney, the boys' distance events produced some electric performances. The 1600m featured three of 3A's best milers in Wichita Collegiate's CJ Meyer and Will Meyer, along with Wichita Trinity's Samuel Ferguson.  The trio did not disappoint.  Ferguson got the victory in 4:20.44, the 6th fastest time in all classes.  CJ Meyer was a close second, coming in at 4:23.95, with Will third at 4:29.40.

Will Meyer followed up his third place in the 1600m with a blazing 9:23.97 in the 3200m, 9th among all classes.  Meyer was not alone in dipping under the 10:00 mark in the race.  Wichita Trinity's Caleb Tofteland ran 9:41.74, giving him the fifth-fastest time in 3A.

Avery Albright of Kingman continued his dominance in the 400m, running a season-best 49.45, putting him in the top 5 of all classes.  Albright also produced a third-place finish in the 100m, behind Sr. Jaden Mitchell and Fr. AJ Batiste, both of Wichita Collegiate.

For the girls, one of the state's premier 300m hurdlers, Clearwater's Madison Williams, continued her perfect season in the 300m hurdles.  The sophomore ran 46.37 to edge out teammate Kenzy McArtor.  Williams also won the 100m (12.91) and 100m hurdles (15.49).

University of Nebraska commit, and current Clearwater senior, Haley Trotter, brought home two gold medals, winning the 800m (2:20.53) and the 1600m (5:18.13), both in dominating fashion.
