Online Registration Instructions
RULES & GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
We will be using MileSplit to set up our meet. To enter athletes into events go to ks.milesplit.com. Entries are due by Friday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m.
Unless otherwise specified we will be following NFHS rules for Track & Field including 2025 rule updates. A reminder that it is illegal for an athlete to establish their steps by running away from the pit or foul line. RULE 6-2-7
8:00 ~ COACHES MEETING ~ will be held at the shed at the north end of the track.
8:30 ~ FIELD EVENTS ~ will begin 30 minutes before track events.
9:00 ~ TRACK EVENTS ~ It is requested that coaches, athletic directors, and athletes assist with moving the hurdles on and off the track.
PARTICIPATION AND ENTRY LIMITATIONS
- Each school is allowed three entries in each individual event and one entry per relay event.
- Individuals may compete at or above grade level, but not below.
- A competitor shall not compete in more than four events, including relays.
TRACK EVENTS
Only the 100 Meter Dash has preliminaries. All other races will be run as finals. If there are not enough competitors to run preliminaries, then the event will be run as finals.
Hurdles will be set at 30 for both girls and boys races.
The 100 Meter Hurdles, 1600 Meter Run, 4x400 Meter Relay may be run as combined heats depending on the number of entries.
FIELD EVENTS
- HIGH JUMP will use a starting height of 3 for 5th and 6th divisions and 36 for 7th and 8th divisions.
- LONG JUMP will use a 4 board. Three attempts with no finals.
- TRIPLE JUMP will use 16, 20, and 24 boards. Three attempts with no finals.
- DISCUS will be 1kg for all divisions.
- SHOT PUT is 4kg for 7th & 8th boys division. 6 lbs for all other divisions.
- TURBO JAV will be 300g for all divisions.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
- Spikes: 1/8 inch spikes only.
- Timing: FAT provided by Midwest Timing & Results
- Starting Blocks: Will be permitted but not provided.
- Scoring: The scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
- Results: Will be available online at ks.milesplit.com.
- Ribbons: Will be awarded to the top six finishers. Will be available for pickup at Hope no earlier than Monday, May 12.
- Concessions: A concession stand will be open.
