We are off and running on the 2024 Cross Country Season!

With a cavalcade of meets kicking off the 2024 season this weekend, we saw several impressive performances already. Below are some of the top boys performances from the past week around Kansas. Vote who you think should be crowned the Kansas Boys Runner of the Week for Week One.

Daniel Enriquez - Kapaun Mt. Carmel - Enriquez led the week with a 15:12.90 winner at the JK Gold Invitational. It was a 20 second personal best, which was run at last year's JK Gold Invitational.

Dylan Plath - Olathe South - Plath was the top KS finisher at the Todd Warner Kickoff Classic across the border in Missouri. The 6A 800 State Champion was behind two of Missouri's top returners and posted a 15:31.40 mark, 7 seconds off his personal best from last year's Olathe Twilight. 

Canyon Buehler - Blue Valley Southwest - Blue Valley Southwest traveled out to Chicagoland to face off with some impressive talent in Illinois. Buehler picked up the runner-up finish in the Mike Kuharic Invitational in 15:34.00 in a rare Illinois 5K. 

Logan Beckman - Spring Hill - Beckman got his season started with a win at the Greg Wilson Classic in a new personal best of 15:42.20, 0.1 seconds off last year's personal best at NXR Heartland.
