Chesney Peterson, Better Than Advertised
Stanton County's Chesney Peterson was even better than we first thought, in her first-ever appearance in the Kansas Track and Field Championships, the sophomore, who won the 2A cross country title last fall, added track and field gold in the 800 (2:16.80), 1600 (5:00.72) and 3200 (10:47.92), leading start to finish in all three races. Then, she clocked 59 seconds on the anchor leg of the 4 X 400 relay as her team won in 4:11.83.What was the top track and field or cross country moment in 2021?
