We're through 5 weeks of the season, and 7 weeks of XC training. That means times are coming down in a hurry. The Coaches Poll does not come out again until next week, so fans of those rankings will have to wait another seven days. With Regional Assignments posted and in our database, I have decided to add those alongside each team's ranking.

This week's notable changes:

Cair Paravel is making a late charge in 1A girls, sliding into the rankings for the first time at #8.

Ell-Saline's boys move up to #5 in 2A after a convincing score over Bennington at Beloit.

Sacred Heart's girls have a successful outing at Halstead to move back into 2A podium territory.

Riley County's boys continue to overachieve with a win at Council Grove, moving to #4 in 3A.

Kapaun and Carrol continue to flip-flop on the boys side. Each has multiple victories over the other.
