The news you've all been waiting for: THE STATE MEET IS BACK IN WICHITA AT CESSNA STADIUM FOR ALL CLASSES THIS YEAR! But there are some changes for this year.
Here are some quick highlights:
- It will be a one-day meet for each class.
- 5A and 6A will compete on Thursday, May 27.
- 3A and 4A will compete on Friday, May 28.
- 1A and 2A will compete on Saturday, May 29.
- No prelims in the 400 or 300H.

The changes are for this year only. In the new schedule, KSHSAA states flatly, "The 2022 schedule will be a two-day event. 4A, 5A, and 6A will have the early sessions."
