This week's action in Kansas Track and Field was a nice
setup for next week's ultra-exciting Kansas Relays. In girls' events, there
were 10 performances this week that jumped to the top of the Kansas lists - out
of the 18 events competed at the state meet.
One-third of the boys' events - 6 of 18 - saw new state
leaders this week.
In one event -- the boys' javelin -- 10 of the top 14 marks
in the state this week happened between Tuesday and Friday.

Wichita State University
This meet lived up to the pre-meet hype, as the girls' meet
saw seven state-leading performances, and the boys' meet had another four.
The sprinters did not disappoint. Newton's Kalli Anderson
