#1) Shawnee Mission West: No Result

#2) Olathe East: The hawks looked strong in a small Bishop Miege meet placing seven in the top nine.  Their top finisher was Brenna McDannold who finished second in a time of 15:34.

#3) Shawnee Mission Northwest: No Result

 

5A

#1) Bishop Carroll - BC looked impressive at the Hesston Invitational on Thursday night.  Top runner Kaelyn Balch clocked in at 14:32 to win the senior race followed by teammate Katherine Dillard, 15:38. They also had girls go 2-3-4 in the sophomore race.  

#2)  St. Thomas Aquinas - Defeated fourth ranked in 6A Manhattan 40-70 at the Emporia Invitational.  Their 1-2 punch of Bailee Cofer and Rachel Mahon finished fourth in fifth, both running 15:28.

#3) Lansing: The Baker twins looked great going 1-3 at the Bishop Miege meet.  Nashia ran 15:21 to take the win, 13 seconds over second place.  Malika clocked in at 15:37 to finish third. 

 

4A

#1) Baldwin: Baldwin defeated the second ranked Hayden 58-81 at the Wamego Invitational. Kaitlyn barnes finished second, running 16:19. They had good depth with their fifth runner finishing 19th in 16:50.  

#2) Hayden:  The Wildcats came up short against Baldwin on Saturday at the Wamego Invitational.  Mary Kate Franklin led the way with a fifth place finish running four seconds under 16:30. 

#3) Maize South:  They competed well at the Hesston Invitational.  Their top finisher was Mady Nestor, junior, who finished second in her race.  Morgan Schaefer was third in the senior race and ran the second fastest time for the Mavericks.

 

3A

#1) Norton:  The Blue Jays finished first in the 1A-2A-3A division at the Wamego Invitational with 57 points.  They had a great pack placing their top five within 50 seconds of each other.  Sierra Griffith led the way in a time of 17:06.

#2) Douglass: Competed at the Hesston Invitational on Thursday, winning two of the four races they raced in.  Sarah Wright was third in the 1A-3A senior ace in a time of 16:11.  Susie Wright won her sophomore race in a time of 15:51, and Klair Gibson also won her race, the freshman division, in 16:05. 

#3) Sacred Heart:  They also competed in the Hesston Invitational.  White they did not have any winners, they showed an excellent group of girls with their top five ranging in times of 30 seconds.

 

2A

#1) Maranatha Academy: No Result

#2) Ellinwood: Competed at the Hesston Invitational.  Their top finisher, Jenna Snell, finished second in her race, the senior division, in a time of 15:51.  After her, their 2-3-4 comes in within 9 seconds, ranging from 17:13 to 17:22.

#3) Stanton County: No Result

#1) Bishop Seabury: The Seahawks finished seventh in the Wamego Invitational averaging 18:53 for 4K.  Their top finisher, Kate Albrecht, was fourth running 16:44.
