Noah Affolder, Jess Lawson Set Course Records at McQuaid Invitational

No. 3 ranked Noah Affolder lowered his own course record from 14:14.9 to 14:12.7 to defend his individual title at the McQuaid Invitational. Stephen Schulz of Liverpool was second in 14:53 and Noah's 10th grade brother, Sam, was third in 14:53.3.
No. 6 ranked Jess Lawson also obliterated the field at the McQuaid Invitational on Saturday with a new course record 16:38 for three miles. She won by more than 30 seconds over runner-up Amanda Vestri of Webster Thomas -- who is no slouch herself, as she recently defeated defending New York state champion Claire Walters of Fayetteville-Manlius.
