Anschutz Sports Pavilion/Bill Easton Track
The Anschutz Sports Pavilion/Bill Easton Track & Field Facility is a 6 lane 200m oval with
8 lane straightaway providing athletes and coaches a better track and field experience
while competing at the University of Kansas. The track oval, horizontal and vertical jump
surfaces have been resurfaced with the Benyon BSS 2000 with a Hobart topping. Parallel
horizontal runways are located on the east side, and the pole vault runways on the south
end. High jump and throws will be contested on the infield. All coaches must stay in the
designated coaching boxes or general spectator areas to ensure safety to athletes and
coaches.
Entry Information
This meet is open to the following (no exceptions): High School athletes, grades 9-12 (high
school identification required) Entries must be completed through Direct Athletics
(www.directathletics.com) by 10:00 pm (CST) on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Entry fee must be
paid through direct athletics $20.00 per event.

Rules
1. NFHS rules will be in effect unless otherwise noted. This is not a NFHS sanctioned event; you
may not compete in high school uniform or under your high schools name. Only quarter inch spikes
will be allowed on track facility, shoes will be inspected. Boys will throw the 12lb shot and girls
will use the 4k shot. Athletes will throw from a 40 degree sector. Pole vault weight verification
forms are required for all pole vaulters.
Awards
Jayhawk medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event. Awards can be picked
up at the meet information table near the finish line on the west side of the Track.
Schedule
Girls Pole Vault: Begin 11:00 am.
Running Events: Begin at 1:00 pm.
Field Events: Begin at 1:00 pm meet will run on a rolling schedule.

Track and field events will start at 1pm and will follow a rolling schedule. The horizontal
runways are located at east side of Anschutz Pavilion.
Driving Directions & Parking Instructions:
There are two maps for parking that can be found on the KU Track and Field web site under home
meets.
1) If you are traveling by bus and 2) if you are traveling by van(s).
Due to construction on the KU Volleyball Center there will be no athlete drop-off or parking at the South
end of Anschutz Pavilion.
Parking will not be allowed in lot 72 (north of the athletic offices and Anschutz Pavilion).

From I-70:
From I- 70 take exit 202 > Iowa Street > Bob Billings/15th street turn left on 15th street entering
KU campus. 15th street > turn right on Burdick Drive > turn left on Irving Hill Road. Go 200 feet
and pull into bus stop. Athletes can exit bus and walk across parking lot to Anderson Strength
Center. Enter through large glass doors.
From K10:
Take Iowa exit > to Bob Billings / 15th street turn right on 15th street entering KU campus. 15th
street > turn right on Burdick Drive > turn left on Irving Hill Road. Go 200 feet and pull into bus
stop. Athlete can exit bus and walk across parking lot to Anderson Strength Center. Enter
through large glass doors.
Buses must park at Lied Center:
After athletes departure, go to stop and turn left on Naismith Drive > turn left on 15th
Street continue up hill and cross Iowa St., > turn left on Crestline Drive, go up hill turn left on
Petefish Drive into Lied Center Parking.
Van Parking:
From I-70
I-70 take exit 202 > Iowa street > Bob Billings/15th street, turn left on 15th street entering KU
campus. 15th street > turn right on Burdick Drive > turn right on Irving Hill Road > roundabout
(take 3rd exit) to Central District Parking Garage.
If you have pole-vaulters please have them take off poles before entering garage. Athletes can
walk down right side of garage to Anderson Strength Center entrance (building just right of
parking garage). Enter through large glass doors of Anderson Strength Center.
Vans may park on 3rd and 4th floors (no fees will be charged) go to elevator or stairs on
northeast corner to first floor. Head East (right) to Anderson Strength Center, enter through
large glass doors.
From K10:
K-10 to Iowa Street Exit > turn right on19th street > turn left on Qusdahl Rd > to roundabout
take 2nd exit to Central District Parking Garage.
If you have pole-vaulters please have them take off poles before entering garage. Athletes can
walk down right side of garage to Anderson Strength Center entrance (building just right of
parking garage). Enter through large glass doors of Anderson Strength Center.
