Check out an electric race in the AAU girls 400m on Friday at The VA Showcase, where a fight to the line took place between Athing Mu, Kayla Davis and Kim Harris. All three athletes made their way even to the break, but it was Harris, the high school senior from Buford High School in Georgia, who took the lead position at the 200m split at 24.8 seconds. Davis began to make a move on the ensuing curve, but Mu then made a move on the inside of Harris in Lane 1, taking the lead just before the final curve. Mu's final move proved to be the winning touch, as she won in a new US No. 1, and a No. 6 all-time 400m time, of 52.54. Mu became the fifth fastest female at the distance indoor all-time.
