Jefferson City senior Kezia Martin has been a force for the Lady Jays her entire high school career. Martin earned Missouri Class 4 silver medals in the triple jump as a freshman and the long jump as sophomore, as well as multiple other medals in the relays and horizontal jumps. Martin picked up the high hurdles consistently last year and qualified for state. At sectionals last year, Martin posted one of the top triple jump marks ever for a Missouri girl, going 40-8. However a disappointing state finish leaves her eager for a state title this year. Pittsburg State jumps coach Kyle Rutledge beat out many NCAA Division I programs and landed the highly recruited Martin to compete for the Gorillas next year. Martin holds a best of 18-4 in the long jump.
