Best of luck to Alli Cash who is running in the Adidas Dream Mile on Saturday. She's one of the top HS milers in the country and will hopefully have a great race. I know NBC is showing some of the Adidas Grand Prix races but I'm not sure they will be showing the HS races. Would be nice if some of the local media picked up on this story.

@ksmilesplit Can't wait to see the interview and hopefully the video of the race...top 3 all in 4:39.xx. That is just an unbelievable time for a mile...converting to the 1600 is 4:37.xx?

Great job by Alli for finishing 3rd in this prestigious event!

Her 4:39.98 converts to a 4:38.3 to 4:38.5 for the 1600 meter run, according to several conversion charts I checked.

The only faster mile by a girl runner this year was by Mary Cain of NY in 3:39.28, according to Milesplit database.

And look at how close Saturday's race was (the 4th place finisher was arguably the nation's best freshman runner, Alexa Efraimson, of the state of Washington):

Rank Name Nat Date of Birth Order Result
    1 CHAPUS Camille USA 21 JUN 1994 1-13 4:39.64 PB

Congratulations to Alli running 4:39.98 and leading on the last lap. She ran a smart race, moving from the middle of the pack to first at the bell. Nice to see a Kansas runner having success at a big national meet.
