Hi! Originally, I had planned to blog each day from the Trials, but what I didn’t know was that my days would be jammed packed from 5am to 11pm. Since, there were so many highlights from my four-day experience at the Olympic Trials Youth Leadership Camp, I have decided to do a recap of my most memorable ones. This was definitely an experience I will never forget!
Kuhlman, an all-state volleyball player, the leading scorer on the basketball team and a state powerlifting champion, is most well-known for her track success. As a freshman, Kuhlman won the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes and the 800-meter run and led the Wildcats to a second-place team finish. Kuhlman became the first athlete in Kansas history to win those events in one state track meet. She replicated that feat last spring to become one of only 4 girls ever to win 4 golds in two Kansas state meets.
