It's the clash of the state champions in the Boys Varsity Gold race at Rim Rock Farms on Saturday. Missouri's reigning class 4 champion from Rockhurst High School, Zach Herriott returns to Rim Rock after a 15:41 3rd place finish in 2010. Waiting for him will be the defending Kansas 6A champion from Washburn Rural, Jacob Morgan whose 15:50 finished 6th in 2010.
Both runners are off the fast starts in the 2011 season with Morgan winning the Emporia & Shawnee Heights Invitationals while Herriott cruised to victories at the Greg Wison Classic and Forest Park Cross Country Festival.
