Girls Steeple Video
The Baldwin duo of Hartzell and Twombly led early on. Katie Hand of Kapaun Mt. Carmel showed patience trailing them, and utilized her much improved hurdle technique to pull away from the field during the second half, winning in 8:17. Hartzell was 2nd in 8:34, followed by teammate Twombly in 8:39.
Boys Steeple Video
Nick Rogers of Hutchinson threw down the hammer from the gun opening up a big lead over Campus' Nick Ward, and Seth Alstrom of Cheney. Alstrom ran him down though, and then pulled away in the final lap to pick up the win in 6:39, with Rogers 2nd in 6:47.

Girls 1600m Elite Video
The Elite girls 1600 got off to a hot start with a group consisting of Morgan Wedekind, Lacey Erickson, Katelyn Henderson, Amber Green and Sarah Wright going through 400 in 1:14, and no one else going out slower than 1:16. Erickson and Wedekind made a break just after 400, splitting 2:35 at 800, with Henderson 3rd in 2:37. Erickson continued to lead through 1200 in 4:01, with Wedekind just behind her, and Henderson closing the gap. Henderson caught them with 250 to go, and the race was on. She blew by Wedekind and Erickson with 200 left, which dropped Erickson, but Wedekind wasn't done yet. With 100m to go Henderson and Wedekind were side-by-side and kicking hard down the homestretch. Wedekind, the 4A XC champ proved to have just enough left though, and won a hard fought race in 5:19.79 over Henderson, 5:20.68.
Boys 1600m Elite Video
Josh Munsch took the lead from the start with a 66 second opening lap. He then gradually ratcheted up the pace, clicking off splits of 65, 64,64, and won by nearly 7 seconds in 4:19.71 over David Thor (4:26.29).
