KR: How did you get into Cross Country?
A: My older brother ran, and the sport really intrigued me after I watched him be successful.
 
KR:  What do you like most about XC?
A: The comradery of the team and Coach Spielman’s coaching techniques.
 
KR:  Do you have any pre-race or pre-meet rituals/traditions as an individual or team?
A:  For pre-meet we dress up in different outfits.
   For pre-race we huddle up, pray, and say team chant
 
KR:  How many miles per week do you typically run?
A: It varies from week to week, but it is usually around 30-40 miles a week
 
KR:  What is your favorite type of workout?
A:  Hill workouts on Mondays
 
KR:  What is your favorite XC course/meet and why?
A: The league meet at Rim Rock is my favorite course, because you get to race against rival teams, and it is the deciding factor in who is on the regional and state team, plus the scenic course.
 
KR: Would you prefer to race in a muddy mess or on a super fast course?
A: Super fast course
 
KR:  What do you like to do outside of Cross Country?
A: I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, golfing, watching movies, fishing, bike riding, and reading.
 
KR:  Who is your favorite college sports team?
A: KU, Creighton, Oregon
 
KR: Finally, if you could have one super hero power, what would you want?
A:  The ability to fly.
