Austin Hindman Doubles On First Day Of Missouri Championships

One of the more underrated prospects nationally is Wildwood Lafayette (MO) senior Austin Hindman, who finished second at Arcadia Invitational in perhaps the most memorable regular season 3200m in recent memory.

On the first day of the Missouri State High School Athletic Association Championships on Friday in Jefferson City, the University of Missouri signee led off with two impressive performances, winning both the Class 3A 800m and 1600m runs.

Hindman won the 1600 in a US No. 14 time of 4:09.69 and came back to log a win in the 800 in 1:55. He has a chance to quadruple -- and could help his Wildwood squad to a team title -- by also winning the 3200m and anchoring the 4x800m on Saturday.

Hindman, who also competes internationally for the USA in the triathlon and won a world junior championship last year, owns a US No. 2 time in the 3200m of 8:43.40.
