Our Tuesday Top 10 is back with a list of 10 sophomores we will be watching for this XC season.  Our list of 5 guys and 5 girls was created by looking at last season's cross country season as well as the spring track and field season.

It was hard to trim this list down to 10 athletes so please add your comments on those you will be watching this season.

Guys

Clayton Adams

1. Clayton Adams, Kearney -  Certainly no stranger to this site, Adams had a stellar freshman XC campaign that was capped off with a 16:22 24th place finish in Class 4 last fall.  His 9:30 was good enough for 5th in the 3200 this past spring.

2. Ben Naeger, Ste Genevieve -  Ben was 6th in Class 3 last season clocking a 16:25 on the state course.  He was 4th with a 9:39 in the spring.

3. Austin Hindman, - Lafayette Wildwood - The Lancers will be a threat in Class 4 this season. Austin ran a 16:38 for 5000 meters at last years state meet.

4. Rudy MccLellan - Notre Dame Cape Giradeau - Rudy boasts PR's of 4:24/9:56/16:28

5. Luke Miller, Glendale  -  Luke ran a 16:51 at state last year and followed it up with a 4:33 1600 this past spring.

Girls

Emma Evans

1. Maddi Leigh , Francis Howell -  The defending Class 4 team champs have developed some solid XC runners over the years.  Maddi was 23rd last fall but had a solid spring season with PR's of 2:17/5:21/11:02

2. Tabitha Weber, Marshfield  - Tabitha's 19:30 was good enough for 6th in Class 3 last fall.  This past spring she was 6th in the 3200 and 9th in the 800.

3. Emma Evans, Winnetonka -  Emma was all-state last fall with a 19:15 to finish 21st.  Her 11:27, 3200  was 9th this spring.

4. Andra Staicu, Eureka  - Last fall Andra clocked a 19:14 to finish just ahead of Evans in 20th. She also boasts a 5:17/11:38 pr's from track this past season.

5. Claire Workman, New Covenant Academy  It was not easy to not find a place for a number of girls including Addy Brow on this list but Workman had a heck of a spring winning a Class 1 Championship in the 800/1600/3200 - The 2014 XC season will be her first, and it will be fun to see what she can do at 5000 meters.
