"I was happy with our Stanford performances for the women, three for three with personal records and a new school record,” said Bill Taylor, director of track and field.  Dani Walker completed the 5000 meters in 16:30.55 for a fourth-place finish… "Dani's time will most likely get her in the preliminary round of nationals,” Taylor said. “We are going to have some tough decisions at the end of the season since she will likely be qualified for the national championship preliminaries in the 800 meters, 1500 meters, and 5000 meters.”

Walker also claimed victory in record setting fashion for the distance medley relay team, anchoring the squad that finished in 11:42.47, taking 11 seconds off the school record. Walker’s split of 4:46 helped the Lady Bisons finish more than 20 seconds in front of the silver medalists

Dani Walker set the school record in the invitational one mile run. The invitational pits the best runners present at the meet. Walker’s time of 4:45.33 bested second place Brianna Johnson of Indiana by more than 13 seconds.  “Dani has been amazing,” Bill Taylor, director of cross country and track and field, said. “She went out and pulled away leading wire-to-wire. It is even more impressive after running a 4:46 split in the mile last night in the distance medley relay.”
